The state of your eyes can reveal a lot about your health. As you age your eyes take on a yellow-Brown tinge. A diet high in fat and low in fruit and vegetables can also change the colour of your eyes.
Foggy sight is an early sign of cataract, they are opaque patches on the lens that are operable. This also indicates Glaucoma, pressure in the eye, which may cause blindness.
Puffy eyes means there is something irritating the eye, perhaps an allergy or water retention.
Visual disturbance can be a sign of stress, but it is also a warning of retinal detachment.
Untreated childhood squint may cause double vision. Double vision in later life could signal multiple sclerosis, stroke, a tumour or other disease.
Long and short sightedness causes blurring. You may need glasses or a new prescription. Uncontrolled diabetes or pressure can also cause blurring.
Sty is a harmless infection which forms a small, often painful abscess at the base of an eyelash or inside the eyelid. It usually disappears on its own, or it can be treated with antibiotic ointments.
Take regular breaks while working in front of a PC screen. Otherwise it may cause aching in the eyes.
A trapped lash or a bit of make-up caught inside the eyes, causes red, gritty eyes.
